Swimming Pool Rules

The use of the pool is regulated by the Board of Directors on the recommendation of the swim committee, through the pool director and the club manager.

1. Use of the pool facilities at any time other than the hours listed is forbidden unless specific arrangements have been made and authorized by the club manager. Parties must schedule one week in advance.

2. All swimmers, adult and children, must check in at the pool office before entering the pool locker rooms and must enter the pool area only through the locker rooms. Entering or re-entering the pool area directly from the grounds is not permitted.

3. Sun-bathing is allowed on the pool deck only.

4. A robe or other proper covering must be worn by all persons in swimsuits when not in the pool area. This does not mean a towel. Swimmers are not permitted to take club towels outside the pool area.

5. Children who are not toilet-trained must wear cloth diapers, training pants or swim diapers and tight-fitting plastic pants under their swimsuits. Absolutely NO DISPOSABLE DIAPERS are allowed. Such children may be in the pool only with their mother, father, or hired childcare provider. The wading pool will no longer be manned by lifeguards. Swimming in the wading pool will be at your own risk.

6. Any child using an approved flotation device must be supervised by a responsible adult. The pool staff has the right to disallow any flotation device deemed unsafe.

7. No running in the pool area.

8. NO INFLATABLE balls, rafts, or toys in the pool.

9. Only canned, plastic, or box drinks are allowed on the pool deck.

10. No radios, smoking, food or gum allowed in pool area.

11. A child must be eight years old, and able to swim the length of the pool in order to attend without an adult or childcare provider.

12. Family Swim: During family swim, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent.

13. Swimmers shall abide by all further pool regulation posted in the pool house.

Pool Rules for Childcare Providers

1. Non-member childcare providers shall be 16 years of age or older.

2. A non-member childcare provider shall care for the children of only one family at a time.

3. The non-member childcare provider shall have an orientation as to the rules of the club and shall indicate in writing that they understand the rules and shall abide by the same as they may exist from time to time. It is the responsibility of the member to introduce the non-member childcare provider to the club manager and the pool director and to provide the same with a picture of the non-member childcare provider.

4. Non-member childcare providers are permitted to use the club facilities only in conjunction with their childcare duties and shall be responsible for their charges while they are using the club facilities. Non-member childcare providers and babysitters must be in proper pool attire in order to assist the children who are in their care while in the pool area.

5. The pool director and club manager are responsible for adherence to the rules and regulations of the club by anyone using the club facilities. They shall maintain a registry of non-member childcare providers.

6. The privileges of a non-member childcare provider may be revoked at any time for non-compliance with club rules and regulations.

7. Members have four fee options for their hired childcare providers:

A. A transferable non-member childcare provider card, good for once calendar month, or portion thereof, may be purchased by the member from the club manager for $50. The fee cannot be prorated or refunded. The card is transferable ONLY if the transferee and the member have complied with paragraphs 1, 3, and 5 above.

B. A transferable non-member childcare provider card, good for the whole pool season, or portion thereof, may be purchased by the member from the club manager for $150. The fee cannot be prorated or refunded. The card is transferable ONLY if the transferee and the member have complied with paragraphs 1, 3, and 5 above.

C. A one-day guest fee may be paid to the pool director. This fee is $5 per day. The one-day guest fee option can be used only one day per week for each guest who acts as a childcare provider.

D. A member may hire junior members of the club, who are graduates of junior high school, as childcare providers. Under this option, no fees would be required.

8. Childcare providers shall abide by all other rules and regulations passed by the board of directors from time to time.
